Due Date

Well we’re two days from our due date and there is no such sign of this little girl coming anytime soon. It’s kind of a bummer because we are just so ready but I guess she just isn’t ready. Or my body is just lame. After four weeks in a row of the doctor saying …. No progress …. I’ve stopped getting my hopes up. It’s looking like I’ll go to my next appointment on Monday and they’ll plan when they’ll induce me. Hopefully the end of next week.. Around the 16th maybe.. Until then I’ll just keep trying to stay busy. I think I have packed and repacked the baby’s bag and my hospital bag like six times. I get so bored during the day I go into the baby’s room and put outfits together. Oh how I can’t wait to dress her and just hold her all day.  I’ve tried I think about everything to try and get her here. We go on walks, jogs and I even try running. Chad laughs at me. Did the curb walking, went bowling, lunges, squats, pogo stick, tramp and Chady is getting more sex than ever. He just loves when the doctor tells us every week to keep having sex. I feel like a big fat monster so it’s one of the last things I could probably care to do but Chad will hold it to me and say, “Do you want her to come or not” Not very nice. We got our little picture wall all done but now need her to come so we can get pictures done and actually have pictures in the frames. The nursery is complete minus her name over her bed and Grandma and Grandpa Thompson will be bringing that when the time is here. I’ve decided on who I all want in the delivery room. My husband of course, my Mother, Lindie, Bay and then I’m going out there and having my sister in law come in and she’ll be taking pictures.

Besides for baby news my life is pretty boring. I did get Christmas all up and am loving that. I just love having the tree all lit up, Christmas music going and this most amazing smelling Christmas candle lit and making my house smell nice and scrumpt. Applesauce Chocolate Chip cookies remind me of Christmas so I made those this week too but you can bet your bottoms they are already all gone. I think I’m going to attempt cinnamon rolls next. Maybe right after this? Here’s a few pictures of our cute little Christmas tree and fireplace. My mom was sure using her head when last year she bought Chad and I stockings and bought three and joking said, “this is for next Christmas” What a smart mother I have. We decorated gingerbread houses Monday for family night and I’m so proud of Chad and myself. It turned out so cute!

Chad’s little brother Connor (secretly my favorite of all) left this Wednesday on his mission. It was so sad saying bye to him and so sad to see Chad so sad. He has lost his number one halo partner and for some reason this actually doesn’t make me sad at all. But I will miss Con and him always sleeping over and being around. He is the best kid! I’ve got to keep Bailey away from BYU so she stays single and unmarried for the next two years so they can get wed! How perfect would that be!!

Last but not least I got to give a shout out to “White Lightening” Chad’s flag football team. They had the tournament last night and came out victorious! Chad did so amazing and scored like 7 touchdowns between all the games. He was MVP if there was one. Ha he better know how much his wifey loves him when she is practically 40 weeks prego and it’s freaking cold outside and I sit there from 6 to 10 watching him play all night.

Well I think I have said this the last 2 or 3 blog posts but hopefully for real next time I’m blogging about our cute little girl! Everyone cross your fingers this just happens naturally in the next week! Or the next few days would be even better!

37+ Weeks & Sneak Peak

Well we’ve got about two and a half weeks to go. Well I hope that is all. My last three appointments haven’t been too great. No progress. Which is pretty much the most depressing news when you’re this big and this anxious for her to just come. I really had high hopes of her coming early, possibly Thanksgiving and then today I pretty much realized I’ll be lucky to get her out on my due date. Either way I really think it’ll come very quick. It’s such a busy time of the year. I cannot believe it’s already thanksgiving and black Friday and then December.  Chad says I can’t do black Friday this year because he thinks I will get trampled and die or something but I am still determined to find at least one good deal.

This last week my sisters, mom and friends threw me a baby shower. It was so much fun and this little girl was spoiled. We got lots of things we needed and just lots of cute things. You never can have enough clothes. We are almost done with the nursery and it’s coming right along. We’re just waiting on her name that’s going over the crib and the frames for a little photo wall. Hopefully that’ll all be ready, done and hung all up by this weekend. I took a few little photos for a sneak peak. I was so happy with how the bedding turned out and my $15 di chair we recovered. I was a little scared to wash all my baby clothes afraid that she might just pop out to be a boy but today I just said oh well and washed everything. Chad and I set up the stroller this last week too and today we went and bought a couple hundred of diapers to start us off. Great sale at Target.

Pink Grey and White

Don't mind the trash just on the chair.

As for the rest of the week. Little Griff has a basketball game in Cedar tomorrow so back to the car I go. At least it’s really not too far. I’m really not liking going to public events because people just tell me how miserable I look and I know I look like a monster and I don’t like people seeing me this way. After that though my family is coming back down to St George for Thanksgiving and the rest of the weekend. Yay!! Also, Connor Chad’s little brothers mission farewell is this upcoming Sunday so Chad’s whole family will also be down for Thanksgiving and the weekend. We’re so sad to see little Connor leave. I’m thinking my in laws are trying to put me into labor though because they are having 4 of Chad’s brothers and 5 cousins(boys) sleep at our house all week. This could be interesting.. Well, I’m hoping my next post is a post welcoming little baby Scotlynn but we’ll see. Pray for me that she comes ASAP.

October

I haven’t blogged in a good month but I always feel like I need to have pictures to post in order to blog about it and considering I’m a huge whale I don’t exactly take many pictures these days. It’s been a while though so I wanted to give an update. I’ll give an October update since I think that’s where I’m at..

First weekend in October we took family pictures with the Hewards. Again. They love their family pictures. We took them six months ago and I couldn’t understand why we would do them again considering the only person that has changed was me with a whole bunch of weight. They wanted pictures again before Connor leaves on his mission. He leaves Dec. 7th and the baby is due the 10th but we are crossing our fingers it comes a little early. My only fear with this would be they would want family pictures again. Here are a few of the pictures. I stole them off Mandee’s blog so they aren’t the best quality but she sure did a good job!

October seems like a big blur. I am really having to think hard of what else happened. At least the month went fast. On the 21st we went down to Vegas for my birthday! Chady surprised me with a really nice room in the Palaza and some show tickets. We had so much fun together and just shopping all weekend. The baby of course got more than me but what do you expect when there are so many cute baby clothes and you barely fit in anything. My mom, Bailey, Brittany & Lindie came down too spur of the moment. We got to shop a little with them and go to dinner but Chad had lots of things already planned. All and all it was a very good Birthday! Big 21!

The next weekend we got to go to Richfield for Bailey’s Birthday and Halloween. Still no pictures. L Chad and I were lame and didn’t even dress up. We told ourselves we would never let that happen again. Bailey turned the big 18 and we got to celebrate with her. Her request for Sunday dinner was sandwich and soup. Chad was so confused because he does not think that is a meal. Especially a Sunday meal. I’m a big soup lover though so I was happy with the pick.

We left Richfield Tuesday, Chad left to Arizona Wednesday and so I came back Thursday. Ha can’t get enough of Richfield. I tried the whole sleep alone thing and it was not going to go down another night. I had to turn off the heat because when it would kick on and off it would scare me. I had the TV blasting all night. I left like 10 lights on and locked the doors twenty times. Needless to say I hate being home alone.

It’s November now though and that’s great news. I honestly can’t believe how fast this whole pregnancy has gone by. I’m praying this last month doesn’t drag on but I really don’t think it will. My doctor said he would strip me the week of Thanksgiving and see where that puts me. I’m really really hoping she is just ready and I have her soon after. Chad and I talk about it everyday how crazy it is that we are having a child. We are so excited though and just want her here now. I’ve been reading a lot lately and I think kind of freaking myself out. My mom was showing me some pictures last night in one of her pregnancy books and I almost just died. I don’t know how a women recovers after a child is pushed right out of her. Oh boy. I want to blog more and be better about pictures. I know once Scotty is here I will have more than enough pictures to post. I have a doctor’s appointment Monday and we are hoping for the best. Hopefully by next week the nursery can be mostly done and I will post some pics of that. Can’t wait!

Car/Kentucky/Powell

Sad day at the Heward household. It was our last day with our beloved Audi. That car was my little baby and I loved every thing about it. But who would know it costs an arm and leg to insure and a car seat is not going to fit too well in that small back seat. Even though my dear kind husband let me go get the SUV I wanted it still makes me sad for it to leave.

So lots and lots to blog about tonight. First, yes new car. So exciting for us. We love it or at least I do! The best part about it is I found it and bought it all while my hubby was in Texas so he never actually saw it till he was home and the purchase was a done deal. That's how I know he reallly loves me. Ha

Lind and I have been busy busy these last months getting orders out and getting ready for the baby show in Kentucky. We also got the opportunity to meet with Deseret book a couple weeks ago and they are going to carry our magnet boards. Pretty stoked about that one.

Kentucky was fun and a good time for sure. We got to go out with our dear sweet mother and our booth was right behind theirs. The best part of the baby show though was all the baby stuff. FOR WHOLESALE! Yay for Chad and I. I got my bedding, crib, dresser, car seat, and lots more. I had bought my stroller out in South Carolina and we had waited on the car seat because it was as much as the stroller and then at the show I bought my car seat for $130 where at buy buy baby it was $300. Steal of deals everywhere. The best though was I found my crib I wanted but chose not to get the matching dresser. The dresser was $299 wholesale and I thought I could find something else. The last day the company I bought my crib from came and asked if I was sure I didn’t want the dresser and I told them ya I was going to look for something else. They told me they would give me a good deal and so I asked what a good deal was. They did the dresser and changing bed that was on top of it for 50 bucks. Just so they wouldn’t have to pack it up. Ya baby! This was after they threw in the mattress and bedding that was in the crib just for the heck of it. Too bad it was boy bedding but still. Just was in heaven.

Chady got home from his extension in Texas last Sunday. He had a really successful few weeks out there. I’m so proud of him and how amazing he is and how hard he works for us! He had a goal with his manager for the few weeks he was out there and hit it so we got to go get him a big ol 55’’ TV today. Thank you capital alarm.

This weekend we had a Lake Powell trip with a few of the people we sold with this summer. Even being 7 months prego it was still a good time! We stayed in an amazing houseboat that Katy Perry was actually on the week before. Ya I know, soo cool! Haha The weather was perfect and I really think the water was glass all day every day. And we got to play the pregnancy card and get a big nice bed to sleep on. It would have been the most perfect Lake Powell trip in history if right when we were pulling into the marina Chad’s manager/my cousin didn't drop his keys in the freaking lake. Ha making it impossible to pull the boat out of the water or get him and his family home from Powell. Luckily they can just like make a key in an hour. Really shocking and weird and kind of creepy but we were already fighting day light before this happened bringing the houseboat in so once the key was made and we had to pull the boat around to load it, It was pitch black and Chad and I were driving it. So scary especially since the only light we had was a headlight. I kept thinking we would for sure hit the mountain or something.

We are finally home though and it feels oh so good! We loved conference and watching it together. We had family pictures yesterday afternoon with Chad’s fam so those will be fun to see in a couple weeks. Minus my big belly.

We are definitely on the countdown for this baby. We have this month, next month, and then she is hear. Holy holy I can’t even believe it! I’ve got the joy of heartburn all day everyday, I feel like her foot is stuck in my right ribs and I never knew I could look so large and in charge.

Chady leaves me again to Arizona for some meetings so back to Richfield I go. I hate being home alone. At least it’ll only be for a couple days this time. I think we will start the nursery soon so hopefully I can blog about that next! ........Wish I had more pictures. :(

Pirates Cove!

We got to go to Pirates Cove this last weekend over Labor Day with a few guys Chad sold with and then a few others from other offices and their families. Pirates Cove is like one of the most amazing places ever that you just can’t quite explain. Your best way of knowing what it is would be to show pictures of the whole place but that would literally be a million pictures.

On our way to Pirates which is just by Lake Mead in Nevada my smart husband was going 13 over in a construction zone and got pulled over. And his darling wife forgot to put our new up to date insurance cards in the car. So when we add those two together we’re looking at a $1,000+ ticket. Lovely.
And to just make that all better once we got home Monday and I went to put our insurance in the car I couldn’t find it and then found it in my wallet which was in the car when we got pulled over.
And since we are on the topic of fun speeding tickets may I just add that Chad got pulled over in California back in January and somehow convinced me that since it was in Cali it didn’t matter and we didn’t need to pay a $200 dollar ticket so while we played that off so cool it got sent to collections and we now owe $1500. Oh the lessons we’re learning this first year.

Well back to Pirates… So we show up and there are 25+ bedrooms in this place and we’ve all been assigned to a room. It took you a good thirty to find your room. There were a few goods and bads with our room. It was good and probably meant to be that we were one of the closest rooms to the main kitchen and ice cream machines. It was bad because where you lay out and swam and all that good stuff was at the very bottom of the house so I got to make the one hundred-stair step challenge one hundred times a day. Usually up to the Ice cream machines that is.

There were slides, a rope swing, places to jump from, lots of different pools, caves, a huge gym, basketball court, I think like 4 garages, theater room, worlds biggest teeter tauter (Yup don’t know how to spell), 3 kitchens, pool table, ping pong, air hockey, fools ball, everything you can really think of at a house. We did a scavenger hunt one afternoon and the winner got NFL tickets so you better believe Chad and I were running around like crazy people doing everything we could possibly do to win. It was a real good time minus the fact we lost but we still enjoyed it! I didn’t get to jump from any of the crow’s nests or do anything too crazy but I did get to go down the slides lots and loved that. Nighttime swimming was the best! I really wish I would of taken more pictures but I guess oh well.

And as for now Chady left to Texas on Wednesday for an extension for the month of September. I had nothing to do in St George without him so I’m just home in Richfield loving life with the family but missing my hubby very much. It’s going to be a veryy long month! Lindie and I take our little company to Kentucky here in like 2 weeks for a show so we’re getting pretty excited about that. We pray it does well!  So hopefully that can just keep me nice and busy and this month of September can just cruise by and October can come and we can have a normal life.
Little baby Scotty or Scotti or idk is doing great! Just starting to get uncomfortable and I’m not so excited about that considering I have another trimester to go. But it is kind of exciting to be able to say I am 6 months. Only like 13 weeks to go and I really think it’s going to go by so fast. My babybump app puts her at 14.5 inches and about 2 pounds. My little brothers are fascinated with my belly and could touch it all day I think. They tell me everyday they think it’s bigger than the day before. I can’t really picture me getting bigger because I feel like I look 9 months Prego but I know I’ve got lots to go so this will be fun.

Bear Lake

Yay for time to blog! It’s been awhile so it’ll be lots of fun catching everything up and finally posting some bear lake pictures. I wish I had more pictures and fun pictures but for some weird reason I didn’t go crazy like I usually do which is even more weird since I couldn’t do anything but pretty much sit in the boat. Oh well.

So Chad and I were suppose to leave South Carolina Sunday early early morning and get to Bear Lake late Monday night so Friday I slowly started getting things ready and cleaning when Chad called at 6 and said he was headed home and lets go! I was so happy but wasn’t ready. I started doing the fasting packing and cleaning and trying to get everything ready as I could. I still don’t really know how we got it all in the car especially since we were suppose to ship one of the bigger boxes home but ups was already closed so we had to just find room. We thought our car was full on the way out, but no it was so much more jammed pack. I’m sure we were getting 10 mpg for the load we were haulin. Chad’s whole reason for wanting to go home early was to go to St George first and see his family for a day. So we did the trek. Georgia, Alabama, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona.. Ya I can’t remember them all but we did 12 states in 2 days. We rolled in town just in time for Sunday dinner with the Hewards. It was so fun to see everyone. Especially for Chad since he hadn’t since April. The next morning we got another 7 ½ of driving as we went from the bottom of Utah to the very tippy top. It seemed like nothing compared to the 36 though.

We got to Bear Lake and were amazed how much the water had raised this year. Yeah, goodbye my favorite beaches in the world.  Out the back of our cabin went grass, fence, water. Weird considering there used to be 100+ yards of the best beaches. It put a damper on the wiffle ball games we used to play daily and the hopes of going back to where Chad proposed. All under water. We had a good time though and the water was glass everyday!! It sucked having to watch everyone wakeboard and not get my own turn. I did go on a little tube ride with my mom and Lind and if you know my mother you know how calm that ride was.

Cutest little kid!

Check that smile

Pregnant Mikey

Ashton's favorite thing ever!

Cute boys!

Friday Jordon and Mary got married so we got to go down to the Salt Lake Temple and be there for that and then go to their lunch in. It was so much fun and we were soo happy for the two! They are perfect for each other! Yay for married friends in St George!

The only picture I took

I am now 22 weeks prego and have that belly that cant be hid. There is no confusion with people when wondering if I am pregnant and that’s when you know you’re big. She’s giving us lot of kicks everyday and right now I love it! I love when she starts kicking and just to feel it. I know I probably won’t love it so much in a couple weeks when I can’t sleep and it starts hurting. I can’t help but just look at nursery stuff all day everyday and I cannot wait to start on that! I just can’t wait for her to come actually. It’s going to be crazy crazy but soo much fun and amazing! My phone app says she is 11.5 in and 1.1 lb. Pretty impressive i'd say!

As for now I am in Richfield putting Lindie’s and I orders together and going to get ready for a baby show in September in Kentucky! Chad flew back to South Carolina on Sunday so baby and me are sure missing him. He’ll be home soon though and start school and end the season selling in St George! Loving Utah, loving being home, loving having friends and family so close! Life is just great!

JULY!

July

For as boring as my everyday life usually is out here I find it very hard to understand how I couldn’t manage to make time to blog a little in over a month. But if you’re bored today like myself you’ll maybe enjoy it because it’ll be nice and long. I’m not even sure what I blogged about last.. maybe gender?? You see I’d check real quick but the cool thing is I don’t have Internet so I can’t. So I get to lay here and type it all up and then head over to the clubhouse to submit all this great stuff.

A life without Internet and cable has been a struggle. This means no netflix, no bachelorette, no facebook, and sadly no blog stalking. The pool was fun and all but now it’s like bathtub water and I can’t be in this 100+ weather with humidity 100%. And to top it all off all my friends out here have up and left to Charleston and we decided to stay in Columbia since I will be moving home so soon.

So let me back the month up and give you a run down of it all.
First, the Fourth of July. Hardest day of my life to date. Never had I ever imagined missing a fourth in Richfield. It’s like the best time of the year and I thought for sure even though we we’d go out and do summer sales I would make it home for the fourth. But no! L I don’t think Chad fully understand how much I must love him for the sacrifice I gave up this summer. After a week full of tears and that night after no parade, no city park lunch, no bull rides, no fish grab, no family bbq & no fireworks I knew something had to be done. I made the contract and he knew if he wanted a happy wife he would sign or forever regret marrying me. On the upside of the fourth though we did enter a volleyball tournament. We didn’t last too long but we put in a couple games and sweated like dogs. Last fourth I think I had 30+ pictures to upload, this year I’ve got maybe 2.. Sad.

The Sunday after the fourth Chad and I decided to go for a little Sunday afternoon drive. We went down to the state capitol building and walked around and saw a few things. After Chad wanted to see the gamecock stadium so on our way to try and find it we found a baseball game going to pulled over and caught a few innings. It was fun to go out and see a little more of the town we hadn't yet.

Last week the 13th I believe I headed to Atlanta for the gift show with my sisters and mom. The cool thing about it this year was I only live like 3 hours away so I got to drive there and meet up with them.  Lindie and I have always wanted to do our own little thing so when I went home back in June we came up with a little game plan and made these magnet boards that were different and cute and fun and just all that good stuff. My parents told us we could have a little corner of their booth at the show to try it out if we’d like. So instead of us throwing in 5 grand to see if it goes we took them up on that. A few days before the show we realized we had to have business cards for people but that we had no business phone number, so…… Lindie decided to make our cell phone numbers the numbers on the cards and brochures. Bad idea. The show ended up doing really well for us and we never imagined putting in the orders we did or having that success. The bad part though is now our cell phones are business phones till we change that. So we had to change our voicemails and sound like idiots. But I guess if your making some money money it’s worth it? We’re so excited for the January show and do our own booth. I wish I had some pictures of our little creations and our time at the show but of course I don’t. While we were in Atlanta our cousins came from Florida and paid a visit. We got to go to the Braves game and spend a little time with them. At the Braves game we were honored to witness a man in a wedding dress jump onto the field and try to dodge security guards. We got to celebrate my mother’s birthday and just had a really great time as sisters and mommy.

I also in Atlanta got to do a lot of shopping. Shopping for the baby that is. I got so many cute things and outfits. I would if it wasn’t completely pathetic post every little thing I got but for now just post my favorite little outfit and sleeper. Oh and my favorite shoes.

I’ve been making lots and lots of bows too! Here are a few I’ve made. I made the white one today and the others just along the way. I won't post all the bows either. Ha

Last, Chad and I bought our stroller today! Yay! I love it and it’ll be home waiting for me when I get there!

Chad’s got about ten or so more sells till he hits 100 and I’m so happy and proud of him! We want to hit that before we come home for Bear Lake and Jordon and Mary’s Wedding! We are leaving Sunday morning the 31st on our drive back to Utah!! He’ll get about a week off and then off he’ll fly back to South Caroline for 2 more weeks and I will stay in Utah working on getting orders out and getting the house back together. He’ll be back the 22nd for School and then we’ll both be home at last! Hip Hip Hooray!
