Moving Week!

What a week it was. I think it has been everywhere from an amazing week to one of the worst. How that is possible I don’t exactly know… It was our last week in St George and so that meant our last week in our first little home. We’ve been in there since we got married and I loved that place soo much! It was just about perfect! Perfect location, price, size, amenities, look, neighborhood, just everything really. I slowly started packing a few weeks ago but not nearly as much as I should have.

Tuesday Chad Me Casey and his new girl Keisha went Snowboarding. Grandma Heward came and sat in the condo and watched Scoti. I was afraid since I hadn’t gone in forever I would of forgotten everything but it all came right back and we had such a good time! That is until I decided I wanted to hit this jump and wanted Chad to record me. Worst idea ever. Best idea was recording it though. Chad rewatched the video I think 100 times laughing so hard every time. I literally thought I was dead. I thought I broke my back and neck and just laid in the snow moaning. Needless to say I felt and still feel so sore.

Wednesday we really got to business with packing. We got all our clothes, kitchen, bathroom and most of Scoti’s room all packed up in boxes. But really even after filling up box after box it never seemed like there was less to do. That night my family showed up in St George for Payton’s baseball tournament. We went to Sakura (my ex-favorite place) and had dinner. I say ex-favorite because that night changed me for life. I might as well of made a bed next to the toilet I was so sick! Then it only got worst when 4am rolled by and Chad was joining. I don’t think I can ever eat there again and I know I will never eat Sushi ever again!

Scoti's room before we took it all down. She never slept in her crib,
we never put pictures in the frames and I think I rocked her once in that chair.
But still so worth it. We loved her first bedroom!

Somehow by a miracle we made it to Payton’s noon games the next day. We both had weak little tummies for the rest of the day but were able to leave the house and by house I mean bathroom. That night my mom came over and we tackled a lot more of the packing. I was amazed at how much crap we had accumulated over the past couple years. It was a joke. By the end of packing and going through all my clothes and other stuff I felt like the DI should be sending me a thank you card in the mail by how much we took there.

Saturday came way to fast. Payts was playing that morning in the semis so I went and watched and Chad went and did some last minute things. We had to cancel our Internet, cable, gym passes, all that good stuff that I’m actually way happy about not seeing on next months bank statements. Payton’s team lost and kind of mean of me but I was happy because then he was done and I could steal everyone the rest of the day to help load up the moving truck and unload at a storage unit. Before that though we had a big lunch at Pizza Factory with the Hewards. A little farewell lunch I guess you could call it. After that we all went back over to our place and got to work. I thought it’d go by so quick and be so easy. Longest day of my freaking life! They would take big loads out to the truck but then I would find more that needed to be packed. It was a good 6 hour long packing process.

We drove to Richfield that night and got there around midnight. Long day! As soon as we walked in my mom was ready to color Easter eggs. Nobody was having that idea though. Everyone was ready to just go to bed and call it a night. The next morning we all got up and lucky us the Easter bunny came! I got a cute new workout outfit, some new flip flops, earrings, we bought a zoo and other little nik naks. Scoti got some new shirts, a swimsuit and swimsuit cover, some chew toys, and her first doll. Chad got a cute new outfit, a book, some manly body wash and a new tie. The Easter bunny was real good to us! We all got ready and went to Church. Scoti looked so cute in her little Easter dress. After church we had a big yummy dinner and had to play wiffle ball in the backyard. That’s one big thing I miss being away in the summer. Sunday night wiffle ball games in the backyard. Makes me sad.

Now the time is actually here that our new summer adventure begins. Chad left this morning to Kentucky and Scoti and I are going to miss him oh so much! We will be joining him though in about 2 and a half weeks. I felt like we did so good packing this year and we were going to have so much extra room but of course not. That car was packed to the roof. Scoti and me are just going to live here in Richfield for the next few weeks and spend as much time as we can with my family.

Scoti is just reaching 4 months old. It blows my mind away. I look at her and she is just so big! She is so freaking cute though and makes me so happy! Her 4 month appointment will be here in a week or so and I’m excited to see how much she weighs and where she is at on the charts. All I know is she is large so I will be surprised if she is even on the charts. A few things about Scoti right now are…. She loves sucking on your hands if she can or if not her hands, she slobbers everywhere, she is grabbing things, she is sleeping 10+ hours a night, she is giggling, talks to us lots, is about to outgrow her 3-6 month clothes, hates her car seat and is really the best baby ever! We love our little Scotlynn so much!

Prepare yourself for a Scoti picture overload! ......... Like usual.

Those eyebrows. They'll get you everytime.

Sleeps like a little frog
We started wearing bibs because she slobbers so much her
clothes get too wet. Bibs are easier to change out.

This is how we spend our Friday nights!

A going away present for Dad. This is what happens when
you try and play airplane right after she eats.

The Royall Wedding!

The royall wedding it was indeed. Most beautiful wedding I have been to and of course the most beautiful couple! My dear sister got married this last Saturday and I couldn’t be happier for her and Cam! There was lots of stress leading up to the day but once it got here every little thing was all worth it! I was in Richfield the week prior to the wedding trying to help out with the little last minute things. Poor Scoti didn’t know what was going on. She is used to being held and played with at all times during the day and I was sewing chair ties all day everyday so she took the floor on a blanket watching baby Einstein. She’s a trooper though and loves watching tv for some freakish reason. I headed up north Thursday afternoon to make it to a little bachelorette party for Lindie. We went to dinner and then went back to Cams sisters place for presents. She got some good gifts(If you know what I mean) and I took a nice trip into Spencer’s and got a few things I thought they’d enjoy honeymoon night! Haha I’m expecting a big thank you from Cam in a few days… J

Bachelorette Party!
Friday came and we all couln’t believe the wedding would be the next day! We still had lots of errands to run, Lindie needed to pack for her honeymoon and we had to be up at Sundance to start decorating that afternoon. As Lindie was putting things together she couldn’t find her earings. Which doesn’t seem like a big deal but it was indeed. We knew they were irreplaceable and we knew we couldn’t find anything like them. We searched everywhere possible and I think Lindie was ready to call of the wedding without them. Just joking.. but like really.. Well needless to say my dad found them in his closet. Weird I know, but it works. That afternoon everyone else showed up. Chad came up with my grandparents and the rest of the family got here throughout the day. We decorated till the wee hours and then headed to the hotel to get some rest for the big day!
This was a result of being in a hurry. Backed right into a pole. I'm trying to still convince Chad he should just be happy it was only the mirror and not a door or something more!
I woke up that next morning and all I could think about was remembering how I felt the morning I woke up on my wedding day and thought Lindie has got to be feeling this same way. That nervous, excited, freaking out feeling. Lindie was already getting her hair done so I went over and chatted with her and Julia. Her hair turned out beautiful! It was so different but amazing and looked so great on her. Lindie, my mom and my dad left about an hour earlier than everyone else to the temple then Chad and I left and Bay, Scoti, Ashton and the other boys would leave about an hours after us. I was so nervous leaving Scoti to come with bailey. Not that I don’t trust Bay, ha she was Scoti’s second mother all week but knowing bay had to get herself ready and Scoti and the boys worried me and then being on the freeway with her. I didn’t know if Bay was okay on the freeway or what. Chad and I got to the temple though and it was a zoo. I swear they marry like 100 couples a day up at the Salt Lake Temple. It was still perfect though. The sealing was so amazing and the royalls had a family friend of theirs do it. I cried through the whole thing. Once we got out of the temple Bay had safely made it with Scoti and the boys and we all waited patiently outside for them. We got lots of family pictures and this was a big deal because we have not had a family picture since I was probably in Middle School. Everyone was there and it felt good to be one big happy family.

After the temple we needed to be up at Sundance a little before 4 for more pictures and what not. Well the only bad part of the day was a darn traffic jam. Worst traffic jam in history I think. Needless to say, her ring ceremony and dinner started at 5 and most of us rolled in about fifteen after 5. We were already in a crunch for time so it was kind of crazy trying to get everything started and going. It all went on though and was still perfect! They did a ring ceremony, had the most delicious dinner, lots of toasts, tears and fun. Between the transition of the dinner and reception we got to go take all our pictures. I can’t wait for the pictures to come back from the reception and everything else. The reception turned out as well. They had a crepe bar.. sweet and savory. And a drink bar. Yes I had a few crepes and a lot of drinks. They had a really good band playing the whole night, a photo booth & their favor was so cute. They did a cute vinyl saying for everyone. I’m not even doing the wedding justice and I’m typing a 10 page paper. I took a few pictures but it doesn’t even show how amazing it all looked and was. I’m excited to see the photographers pictures once she gets them back.
Lindie's Garter I made her.

Little Scotlynn waiting outside the temple!
Standing up so big!

Remi the cutest little flower girl and Scoti!

Zonked right out!

You really can't tell how beautiful it actually was.

The favor

They also had a videographer that I just loved and was pretty bummed I didn't do that at my wedding but here is the video of them at the temple. They did one of the reception as well but they haven't gotten that one back yet. I'm so excited for when they do. This video will make you want to fall in Love if you aren't already. You can just tell how much they love and adore each other! I'm so happy for both of them and am happy to have a new brother!

I'm a little blog stupid so I actually have no clue how to post a video so just copy and past into your url if you want to watch! :)

Last but not least I had to share this picture. It was after Lindie's wedding we were orignally going to drive to Richfield but once it was all over and done with we were oh so tired so went to go stay at one of our cousins. We hadn't packed our pack n play because we had just used the hotels when we were there so when we got to their house Chad immediately said he would sleep on the floor so Scoti could sleep in the bed with me. I was laying in bed looking at both of them snooze and had to take pictures. True love Chad has for his little girl.

What a great week it has been! Starting last week with Scoti’s blessing! Most of my friends made it down for the day and all of my family. Most of Chad’s family lives in St George so of course they were all here and then his brother Casey came down and so did his Grandparents from Idaho. Lots of people and lots of love for Scotlynn! Chad gave a beautiful blessing and my mom and mother in law bore amazing testimonies! Right after the blessing Scoti decided to spit up all over her dress and then minutes later poop up her back. Beautiful I know. I’m not sure if I blogged about her dress already but I just loved it and love to talk about it. My mom had it made for us out of extra material from my wedding dress. Precious right?? After the blessing we went over to my grandparents clubhouse and had a lunch with all our friends and family. Lots and lots of good food! It was amazing to be at the lunch and look around and see everyone that just loves Scoti so much! She is one lucky girl!

Our little family

Grandma & Grandpa Thompson

The best of friends
Monday we packed up and headed to Richfield. Chad dropped me off and then up he went to Provo to meet with some people. My friends were now back in Richfield too for their spring break so they all came over that night and played with us and also watched Bachelor. Stupid Ben! Tuesday was Lindie’s Wedding Shower so we spent all morning cleaning and getting ready for that. That evening we had lots of people over and Lindie was showered with gifts! Chad Scoti Payton and I left that night back to St George so we could pack and get ready to go to Arizona the next morning.

Off to Arizona we went and we were oh so excited! A little trip was needed before we left and I couldn’t be more excited to be with my family. Payton had a baseball tournament so it was a good excuse to get down there and get some sun. 85 degrees never felt so amazing! We rented a beautiful house down there and it was so much fun to all be together. Baseball games, swimming, shopping, cheesecake factory.. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Oh hey little boy

LOVED swimming. Fell right asleep in this.

We drove in some pretty nasty weather and way past my bedtime but were determined to make it home for Lorin’s Farewell this morning! She did such a good job and gave a great talk. She is going to be such an amazing missionary and I will miss this girl so much! We have so many memories growing up together and I love it! Good Luck Lori Pori!

Chad stayed in St George on our way from Arizona to here so he’s missing us or at least Scoti. So we had to do a little facetime after church and Chad snapped this picture and sent it to me. It’s so funny and I just love every roll soo much!

Less than 1 week till the big day for Lindie and Cam! I cannot believe it is already here! I’m staying here all week to help with the last minute things. She goes through the Temple Wednesday and I’m so excited to be able to be there for it. We’ll head north Thursday or Friday and get decorating. Saturday is the big day and I’m so happy for these two! I will have lots and lots of pictures to post next time!
