Before the days start getting crazy, crazy I wanted to get all caught up
on here. Our lives are so hectic and not in a good way. I swear I am about to
pull my hair out jumping from one place to another. We cannot stay in one place
longer than a couple days. We live out of a suitcase and my poor daughter has
slept in a pack n play her whole life. So much for buying that crib 5 months
before she came. Chad is still working here and there and it’s hard for Scoti
and I to go everywhere he does so we are spending a ton of time apart and I
think that has been hard on us as well. We need to get away and do a trip but
what we want to do would be really hard with little Scotlynn and I just can’t
leave her right now. I’m too hooked to this little one. I keep telling Chad
after she is one I will be able to leave her for a little. We’ll see…..
Halloween! So I bought Scoti’s Halloween costume back in
July. Ya I was excited I guess you could say. I was out in Kentucky and found it at Costco and just loved
it. I still love it but my only regret was buying a costume that is everywhere
and all of a sudden we have 1 million elephants. Pretty sure I had the cutest
elephant ever but next year I am going to go searching for that unique best
Halloween costume ever! Just wait guys.
The Heward’s did their annual Halloween party the day before
Halloween. My mother in law is the greatest and does the cutest little things
like this and is always going all out. My father in law just shakes his head
with a big smile. Kind of like Chad does to me whenever I do anything. We were
pulling up the street and I told Chad I thought there was a fire or something..
No just the fog machine she set up outside. We played games, had a contest
eating the donuts off the string, bobbed for apples, decorated cookies and
played games. Its always lots of fun to all get together and do these kind of
things. I wish I had taken more pictures but I was chasing this elephant
everywhere.
The next day we went to Richfield and spent Halloween there.
I went that morning with my mom to buy candy and she was loading up so much
candy and I was telling her to stop. She had about 400 pieces of candy and then
100 pieces of good candy. We get so many trick or treaters we get the normal
candy for the kids that come from who knows where and get big candy bars for
the neighborhood kids and friends. Chad and I were handing out candy and about
6:30 we were running low. By 6:45 we were out! These kids start knocking at
like 3 around these streets. My mom was running to the store but it is
literally impossible to drive down our street because there are hundreds of
kids everywhere. I feel so bad for all these kids so I just start handing out
all these big candy bars. Kids are freaking cause I’m dropping king sizers in
their pillow cases. My dad wanted to just start giving out carrots (which he
has before.. he thinks he’s funny). My mom finally got back and we seriously
probably had over 700 trick or treatin kids.
That weekend we invited the Heward’s up to my families
cabin. Chad and I have gone lots this summer but they have never been able to
make it up so when we finally had a week that worked we all headed up for a
weekend of fun! We did lots of shooting, smores, games, watching basketball all
day, and the boys glued to playing halo. It was a really chill relaxed weekend
that we needed and enjoyed.
This last weekend we did Scoti’s 1 year old pictures. I know
what anyone that knows her birthday is like what the heck, why so early?? I
just knew with thanksgiving, Christmas, anniversary, birthday, shopping I
needed to get this done with and not have to be stressing to get them done,
back and printed by her birthday! They were so fun to do and I cannot wait to
see the edited ones! I took a few on my phone but I will wait to post any until
I’ve got the profeshers. I had my sister Mandee Heward take them and guys she
is amazing! I had her take Scot’s newborn pictures too. She has always just
done it on the side but I hope she expands and starts doing it more because she
is amazing!
Scoti was harder to shoot this time because she is just too
quick and wont hold still. When we finally pulled the cake out she just would
touch it with one finger, lick her finger then do it again. I thought she would
dig right in but she was so calm and it took awhile for her to get going. By
the end of the shoot her giant one had tipped over and smashed the cake, the
balloons were popped, Scoti was half undressed. It was hilarious to just look
at the finishing result. It was so fun. I cannot wait till her actual birthday.
Parrrtayyyy!
