Thompson Cruise

I have failed to ever take our under water camera in to get developed so I am going to go ahead and blog about the cruise and bag those pictures. The problem is I feel like the cruise was forever ago and my desire to write about it isn’t really there. But considering this is my only pathetic way of a “journal” I will write away and reminisce about our week in paradise!

We flew out of Vegas the 7th of April on the Red Eye aka hell on an airplane. I thought flying during the middle of the night would be this great time because Scoti would just sleep and I could sleep and how great does that all sound. Noo, Scoti screamed for a good 2.5 of our 3 hour flight. Which wasn’t only the worst thing for me but for every person who booked the red eye because they thought they would just sleep. She was so tired but couldn’t sleep so was so fussy, which was so bad! Never ever again will we do that.

Our cruise left out of Galveston, which was a first for us. We cruised the Western Caribbean visiting; Montego Bay Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Cozumel. Our first couple days on the boat were sail days and we had so much fun exploring and getting involved. We all played in the 18+ dodge ball tournament and Chad left the ship with some hardware and was declared the MVP. One of his greater accomplishments in life. Scoti loved the water park, pools and anything that had to do with getting wet. She wanted to be wet and swimming at all times of the day. Scoti was also famous on the ship, she was “that baby”.  I swear everyone knew her and loved her by the end of the cruise. She loved all the loud music too, whenever we were out by the pools or on the decks and music was going she was shaking those hips and dancing for everyone. There were lots of good shows, too much good food, games, swimming, golfing, basketball, tanning and I’d be lying if we didn’t love us some casino time. Big winner right here! $800 big ones. Woot woot.

Wednesday we were in Montego Bay Jamaica. We did a city tour, visited some special house, had some Jamaican food, and went to a fruit stand then spent hours at the beach. There were these ladies that kept asking us if we wanted massages. We kept turning them down until they said free sample. Of course you take a free sample and were we sold or what. These ladies were legit and you better believe every single one of us got massages on the beach. You can’t beat 30 minutes for $15. We also found scoti’s love for the substance of sand. This girl would roll in it, get buckets of it and pour it on her head, she was eating it and we couldn’t get her away from it. She loved the ocean too and going swimming with everyone. We really jacked up Scoti’s sleep schedule being away so she would go without no nap all day and then once we got in our van to head back to boat she would just pass out in my arms.

Thursday we were in the Cayman Islands. We got in a little tour boat and sailed out about thirty minutes off of the island to a sand bar where we got to get out and swim with the stingrays! I had already swam with stingrays twice before but this was Chad’s first time and he was so excited and loving life. He would dive under the water and only come up for air and then was right back down. This is when I wish I had our underwater camera because we got lots of good pictures kissing, holding and swimming with them. After, we drove off another ten minutes where we were able to get out and snorkel. We would still the cereal from the buffets and would dive down and open them up and fish would come swimming towards you at every direction!

Friday we were in Cozumel. We went to a resort on the island where we got to just kick back and relax. They had a swimming pool, restaurants, snorkeling and anything else you would want to do. Scoti played in the sand for hours again, the boys snorkeled and the rest of the girls had a good day laying out. The food on the resort was amazing and then we also got to do a little shopping.

How they announced they were pregnant! With Twins!

Best family ever!

Saturday was our last day and it was another sea day. The weather started turning Saturday afternoon but I think by that time everyone had the sunburns they desired and we were fine not basking in the hot sun all day. All in all it was such an amazing trip and it makes it that much better to be with all your family. We had such a great time and can’t wait for our next cruise or whatever it may be!
