What a week this last week has been. First, when leaving for a week with a child it’s like your moving to a new home. I told Chad it’s a good thing we have an SUV now because all our stuff barely even fit in there. You’ve got moms suitcase, dads suitcase, baby’s bag, pack n play, stroller, breast pump bag, bag with the cold milk, blankets, diapers, lots of diapers, diaper bag & of course that huge car seat.
We left last Wednesday and went and surprised my family at my little brothers basketball game. They were so excited! To see Scoti of course(we’re nothing now). Payton tore it up like always and his team is in the Championship tonight! Yay Payti! We were only in Richfield that night and then the next morning headed up to Provo!
Chad had some meetings with a few security companies. We were planning on going with a smaller company out of Arizona but the more we thought about it and everything we felt better about checking on other companies. I knew I would be miserable the whole summer with no other wives to be with, with the company being based out of AZ most of the reps aren’t members and I knew that could be hard, we knew it would be harder to recruit from an unknown company and a few other problems that we have had with them. I kept telling Chad if I was miserable and not enjoying our summer I knew it would rub off on him and nobody would be happy. I think of last year and being away from all your family and friends and without the girls I had out there, there would have been no way I could of made it. So after meeting a few regional’s we felt best about Pinnacle and are so happy and excited to be going to Washington DC! With a little Baltimore and Virgina Beach in there. It will be another fun adventure that I can’t wait to make!
While we were up north we stayed at Cam’s house and loved that. His mom makes the best sugar cookies in the whole world and his mom and dad loved Scoti and wanted to hold her every second possible. It’s always nice to pass her off for a little and get to play games or whatever.
Saturday we headed back to Richfield for Super Bowl Sunday! I love Super Bowl Sunday at my parents. All the food, the wings, everybody home together.. It’s just a good feeling!
Monday we headed back up north! Yes lots of traveling this week! Lindie had a dress fitting up in Salt Lake so Scoti and I went up and got to do that with her and my mom. Her dress had came in with the sleeves on it and we were all so excited to see what it looked like. It was gorgeous and totally Lindie! I can’t wait for her wedding! I just hope her and my mom can stay sane in the process of it.
Tuesday Scoti had an appointment up at Primary Children’s for an Ultrasound on her hips. At birth Scoti’s hips were popping out of place so they’ve been keeping an eye on it. A few weeks ago we met with a specialist and he couldn’t feel the pops anymore so he told us that was either a good thing and it had fixed itself or that they were both completely out of socket and we’d need to put her in a harness. He wanted us to come get an ultrasound because they could tell everything with that. We were so happy and felt so blessed to find out everything was just great with her!
Now we’ve finally made it back home and I feel like we live in a pigpen! I’ve started laundry but I think I’ve got like 10 loads of it to do! It’s the third week in a row we have missed trash day and so ya that’s like disgusting and we need to do something about that. I just barely got Christmas down, Scoti is getting real good at blowing out of her diaper, just like lots of fun stuff ya know..
But even with all that to do I put it all aside and just lay in bed with my precious little girl for hours this morning. She is getting so big and so fun! I love just talking to her (kind of creepy?) and watching her smile all morning and make her little noises. It’s literally the best feeling in the world. And now she is taking a nap and yup I am still not cleaning and am now blogging. It’ll all get done one day.
I wish I had pictures from this eventful weekend but of course don’t. I do have a picture of Lindie’s dress but she would probably just kill if I just up and posted that. Ha I don’t have like pictures of what we did this weekend but if you know me you know I’ve got plenty of just Scoti being Scoti. Sorry to all my instagram followers for the mass daily overload of my child too. For those who don’t do the whole instagram here a few pictures of my freaking cute little girl!
