January/February

I have always prided myself in being pretty good at keeping this blog up to date and never getting too far behind. We are already half way done with February and I haven’t gotten one blog off about this year. Boo.

I’m pretty sure I missed a few events and dates from last year but no way are we going back to those. We’ll start at 2013 and try and do a quick catch up. Enjoy.

The biggest news that came in January was probably getting our house started and that whole process. We have been counting down the days to get going and I really can’t believe it is actually happening. I keep telling Chad it’ll feel real once the cement is poured. We got to do the fun picking out everything, which was seriously a daylong process. I loved picking out colors and designs but when it came down to the outside of the house, I almost had an anxiety attack. I could not do it. So I let Chad? Ya? Then I laid in bed and thought what the heck did I do so I actually went back this last week and changed it and am still worried. We’ve been waiting on our building permit for just over 2 weeks and they told us it would be 3-4 weeks. Crossing our fingers for this week! We’re looking at being in either the end of the first or second week of April. Pretty much Chad will be lucky to sleep in there for one night till he goes out for the summer. I will have maybe a month.

This beautiful dirt lot will soon be home to our house
So the summer! We also had the draft in the month of January and are going to Tulsa Oklahoma this summer. Can you say sweaty hotttttt!? It’s going to be fun tho. I’ve been doing my research on the city and it really looks fun and like we’ll have lots to do. Just really hoping we have a nice swimming pool we can soak in all summer! I’m excited for this summer because I think Scoti is going to be at a really fun age and actually want to do things. Chad is leaving sometime between the 15th and 30th and I’ll go out middle of May probably.

The last week of January my sisters and I worked a gift show in Vegas for my parents! It was lots of fun and was a really good show for my parents. Win win. Too bad after working all day we could barely eat dinner before we were ready for bed. That was the longest I had been away from Scoti. Three days, two nights. I was actually just fine too. I still missed her like crazy though.

The first week of February we said goodbye to the one and only Sister Alexis Christensen. She is headed to the big ol Montano to rock their worlds over there. She is seriously going to be the best missionary ever and anyone and everyone who meets her will be blessed and just straight up lucky. We also said goodbye to Miss Cydney aka Popsicle sales rep. She left us for a few months to go work at Disneyworld. And no she will not be Mickey mouse. She will be that hottie pushing the cart selling popsicles and turkey legs. Go find her!

5 of the greatest friends you will ever find!
Then there was Valentines. I did this mini photo session here in Richfield of Scoti and got some freaking cute pictures of her! How can you not get cute pictures of her tho, she makes the photographers jobs easy. We spent Valentines down in St George. We decided to dodge the crowds and did dinner the night before Valentines. Best idea ever. Valentines morning we exchanged some presents and Chad surprised me with a pair of Ray Bans. Lucky girl I am! I got him Condoms. Lucky boy he is. Hehe jk. But really I did. I also got him some Macklemore tickets so that’s kind of exciting. Scoti got spoiled with some new clothes and treats. I made these giant rice crispy kisses for all of Chad’s family. They turned out pretty cute if you ask me. Great valentines over all!

blurry bad picture. oh well.

We’ve been doing lots of house shopping lately and have gotten a few pieces here and there. Nothing quite as exciting as finally buying our fridge tho. I’m a big nut about finding the best price and finding the good ads and coupons out there. Well score we found our fridge, washer, dryer and dining table this last weekend and I couldn’t be more proud of the prices and deals we scored. Way to go us.

Chady is now in New Mexico for a week and we are back in Richfield loving life with my family. Can’t really think of a whole lot that is coming up. Hopefully just our house soon! You know I’ll be blogging about the whole process! Well I have to say that was a successful two-month catch up. I’m going to stay more up to date so I can write more about the little things.

Here are a few extra pictueres from the last two months....
