Scoti and I just got back form a little morning walk and she
is out cold. So I am going to attempt to blog but depending on if she stays
asleep will determine how long this is and what I even get to.
So who really knows who reads this but for anyone who does
remember how like not even a month ago I had a poor me post about how my
husband won’t buy me a new wedding ring?? K well the next day after that I
decided I would just order me another fakey. Like honestly they look like the
real thing and I decided that would work for now. So I found me a beauty for a
big $24.99 and order it. It came a few days later and I was in LOVE with it. It
was like my dream ring but not quite as expensive. I was happy, Chad was sure happy
and I looked married. Well after a few short weeks and sad to report I’ve lost
fake ring #2. This was really good tho, It was only $25 and we now know to
never buy me a real one. I had
taken it off in the car to put some lotion on and left it on my lap. Minutes
later I got out of the car to go into Target, a few hours after Target I
realized what I had done. I loved this fake ring but the thought of someone
finding this $25 ring and thinking they scored BIG was too good to go back and
see if it was even there. So on to the next ring. At this rate I will just have
fake rings the rest of my life and when my days are over I will have spent
enough money to buy the biggest diamond out there. Well.. Maybe.
Well one week down two to go. That sounds like I’m counting
down the days till I get to leave here. False. I love being home and back in
Utah and around all our family and friends. The only bummer part is Chad being
in Kentucky and for that reason we will return the end of this month for the
last month of the summer.
Here’s a little run down of our last week:
Sunday the 1st Chad Scoti and myself went down to
Louisville to hang out for the day and to sleepover since we would be flying
out early the next morning. We went by the mall and I went into the restroom to
change Scoti and Chad walked over to Claire’s. He has wanted to pierce her ears
for the longest time! I have too but not nearly as bad as him. I guess we were
both just sick of hearing her be called a boy. He came back over to us and was
so happy to tell us two people were working and they could do it. Sooo we did
it! I almost did it when she was 3 months old but after my dad giving me an hour-long
lecture on how bad it was I didn’t do it. What a weird father I have. The
piercing though was seriously harder for Chad and I than it was for Scoti. She
did so well and has been great with them. They are just the cutest things in
the whole world! That night we went to Cheesecake factory and then back to our
hotel to just relax. It was a fun last day all together. Oh and yes Chad has
been just itchin to get himself a pair of colored jeans and well he found some.
Oh my husband that has more style than me. But really they looked freaking sexy
on him!
Monday we landed in beautiful SLC bright n early! My mother
came and picked us up and we went to City Creek to do a little shopping and
eating. We got to Richfield that evening and had a dinner with lots of family
that was down for the holiday. We went and visited all my friends and showed
off all Scoti’s tricks!
Tuesday was the big 3 on 3 basketball tournament and diaper
derby. Griff was playing in the 3 on 3 so we were down watching that most of
the day. That evening was the diaper derby and I was so excited to put Scoti in
it and have her kick some butt! The diaper derby is 6 carpet racing lanes with
the babies at one end and parents shaking everything possible to get their
babies to crawl to the other end and win 100 bucks. Well miss Scotlynn didn’t
win her heat but she was one of the only two babies to leave the starting line.
We had a fierce little mexi baby cruise down that 10 feet of carpet and take
the victory in 5 seconds. I think they needed a proof of age from this chick
though because she looked a good two years old with hair to her bum. Maybe my next
child will be victorious.
Wednesday was the big 4th of July baby! There is
no way of describing the 4th in Richfield. It’s nothing less than
the best day in the world in the best town around. Starts off with the cannons
at 6 am. No big deal this year, I was already up! My child can go to bed Utah time
(10PM UT, 12AM KY) but can’t get the waking up switched (5AM UT, 7AM KY) so we
were up waiting for them. We went down to the parade which let’s be honest it
isn’t the funnest thing to sit and watch but you do and you love it. This year
we had a special addition to the parade. We still yes had all the tractors, old
cars, band, dancers and all that jazz but we were honored to get Tyler
Jorgenson pour water on his body and zumba on the back of a diesel. That was a
treat…………… After the parade we went to the park and had some lunch, watched our
little cousin sing and watched Griff play in a co-ed beach volleyball
tournament. Later that day we went to go watch grandma Sunnie’s field of stars
play. Scoti was a little loud so we ditched out a little early. Darn. Then we
had everyone over to our house for the big dinner and firework show! The only
thing that would of made this day better is having my hubs on the blanket
snuggling with me under the fireworks!
Is she not the cutest thing in this world?? |
Thursday, Friday & Saturday was all about Payts! He was
playing in the state tournament for baseball and had games all weekend. You
better believe we made it to every game! Even those bright n early 8 am ones!
What a wonderful sister I am. It was double elimination but who needs that when
you never loose! They made it to the state game Saturday night at 5 and were
the champs! Payton pitched all six innings and did amazing! It was a bit freaky
though when we all realized Payton’s twin was on the other team. We couldn’t
help but stare and die they looked so much alike. And it wasn’t even that they
looked a lot alike they had the exact mannerisms. From the way this kid
celebrated to talked to when they lost and he cried, exactly how Payton cries!
Freaky! The boys got to ride the fire truck down main so we went and cheered
them on as they did that. They were some pretty excited boys! And now they head
to Cali in two weeks! Too bad it’ll be right after I leave to go back to
Kentucky!
Yesterday Me Bay and Scoti went down to St George for my
little nieces baby blessing! It was so good to see everyone and let them all
see my cute little girl and play with her! We had lunch over at the Heward’s
with everyone and then headed home that night. Quick trip but so good to go
down.
Now it’s Monday and I feel like we’ve just gone gone gone
all last week so I woke up this morning and told myself I would do nothing. I
went on a walk with Scoti and now we will lay around the house the rest of the
day! Sounds good to me! As far as Chad goes, he is still just kickin some butt!
I believe he reached his 150 mark last week and once the summer is over with preseasons
and all he should be around 250. I couldn’t be a happier, more proud wife. We
are now in the middle of talking to loan officers and figuring out if we will
be able to purchase a home after the summer. Keep your fingers crossed! I don’t
know if there is anything else exciting coming up… I want to go boating, go to
cabin, go visit Lindie, go back to St George and a few other things but we’ll
see what all happens in these next two weeks! Love being home and I just
realize how much a really do love Utah! A few updates with my little Scotlynn!
-She is a pro at pulling up on anything and everything and
now can walk along the things. She will start at one end of the couch and can
walk herself to the other end and then can transfer to other objects as well.
We’ll have a walker before we know it.
-I gave up breastfeeding. I know shame on me. I did it for 6
months and I guess lets just hope she doesn’t die now.
-Scoti has a fake cough and a fake laugh. I love them both
so much!
-She grawls at you and makes the cutest faces.
-starting to like her baby food more and eats these rice
puff treats.
-popped her bottom tooth. So cute!
